How does Spider-Man get around when he runs out of his precious bodily web fluid? Why, parkour of course!

In this video, Ronnie Shalvis, who you may remember from the Assassin’s Creed themed parkour training videos, suits up in an actual, official, Sony Studios Spidey costume and demonstrates for the world what might have happened if Peter Parker got his nose out of his books, blew off the Oscorp field trip, and went outside and got some fresh air…but was still obsessed with dressing up in red and blue jammies.

Check out the “Making Of” video, after the jump.

A collection of deleted scenes from July’s The Amazing Spider-Man has found its way to the Internet via YouTube. If you’re longing for answers to unresolved questions about Peter Parker’s parent, well, tough titty. But, if you’d like to see unfinished special effects, never seen before glimpses of Curt Connor’s son, and an alternate version of poor Uncle Ben’s death then hit “play”, after the jump.

“Take it!” implores Peter Parker of Flash Thompson in this new teaser clip from The Amazing Spider-Man, as he holds a precariously positioned basketball out to the jock but never quite gives it to him. Somehow I think if I’d tried something like that with the school’s sport hero/bully I’d have been eating dirt. But, Parker does have those sweet, sweet spider powers to back his play.

Note to self – acquire sweet, sweet spider powers to back my plays.

The Amazing Spider-Man swings into US theaters on July 3, 2012. I’ll keep you all posted as to when I lock down spider powers.

Ok, Rob and I have been arguing back and forth over whether or not Before Watchmen: Minutemen was a worthwhile read, or even a worthwhile project. Expect posts from each of us stating our positions, that may or may not include the words “Darwyn Cooke” and “goatfucker” in the next couple of days. In the meantime, MSN was kind enough to post a clip of new footage from The Amazing Spider-Man with the first meeting between Dr. Connors and Peter Parker. Check it out after the jump!

The preview image on the video embedded after the jump is of a dog.

For someone to imply that it actually contains a bootlegged cell phone video of an extended six-minute trailer of the upcoming The Amazing Spider-Man, with not-yet-seen footage, would be irresponsible and potentially libelous.

We just really like dogs. Honest. There is no Spider-Man here.

Ok, I’m behind on my comic book reading for the week and in a fit of desperate jealousy right now because Rob is at a showing of The Avengers at the moment and I am not. Stupid “having to go to my day job” thing. Boo! However, here’s a little something to cheer us all up: a new trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man! It’s got a bit deeper insight into Dr. Curt Connors, aka The Lizard, in relation to the events of the film. We see more of him, both in pasty pale scientist and green scaly goon forms. Also, more shots of the new web shooters in action. Cool! I have to admit that I didn’t see the point of rebooting the franchise, particularly so soon. But, this trailer does get me more interested in seeing the new film. Good job, marketing department!
